People Department – Overview of Responsibilities
The People Department at Durioo+ is responsible for creating a meaningful employee experience through smooth HR operations, culture-building initiatives, and people-first practices. From hiring to offboarding, the team supports the entire employee journey while ensuring internal processes run effectively.
1. 🧾 Payroll Management
- Cut-off date for payroll and claims: 20th of every month.
- Payroll is processed using the BrioHR system.
- Handles claims submissions, and salary-related processes to ensure timely and accurate payroll.
2. 🧑💼 Recruitment Support
- Posts job advertisements across various platforms (e.g., job boards, universities, LinkedIn).
- Reviews applications and shortlists candidates based on requirements.
- Coordinates with departments to schedule interviews.
- Prepares employment contracts, with hiring decisions made in discussion with management.
3. 📚 Training & Development
- Manages a range of learning opportunities, including:
- Online courses (e.g., Udemy)
- External training or certified workshops
- Internal sharing sessions and informal learning initiatives

- Tracks training activities, collects feedback, and ensures documentation.
4. 🎉 Company Events & Engagement
- Organizes and executes events that strengthen team culture, including:
- Town Halls
- Pocket Talks
- Sharing Sessions
- Farewell Gatherings
- Other company-wide activities

5. 🔄 Onboarding & Offboarding
- Onboarding: Arranges orientation, prepares welcome kits, and ensures new hires have a smooth start.
- Offboarding: Oversees the exit process, including account deactivation, return of assets, and conducting exit interviews.
6. 🗂️ Administrative & Operational Tasks
- Maintains and updates employee records and documents.
- Prepares HR-related letters, reports, and internal communication materials.
- Supports office administrative needs tied to HR functions
7. 🤝 Employee Relations
- Acts as a point of contact for any team-related issues or concerns.
- Supports employees facing challenges — whether interpersonal, work-related, or personal — by listening, mediating, and providing a safe, confidential space.
- Collaborates with management when necessary to resolve matters sensitively and effectively, with the goal of maintaining a healthy, respectful, and inclusive work environment.
